However, I would recommend alternatives like Craigslist to get a beater car until you can pay cash for what you want, or CarMax that offer same old cars with high miles and high prices but same approval standards. Difference is that CarMax reports your payments. On Craigslist you can spot a good import with high miles for what these buy here pay here places want for a downpayment.
High mileage older cars at twice sticker price of comparable priced dealers. Far more than a For Sale By Owner car could ever command. Low down payment and acceptance (and the Low Jack device) make it possible for them to get you in a car.
